Grass Volleyball Rules Co-ed 4’s

Players can set the serve
Players can set free balls
Player CAN set over the net
No open hand tips
Ball can hit the net on a serve
Block does not count as a first contact
Players can not touch any part of the net with their body –call your own net fouls
Anyone can attack from anywhere on the court
Teams must follow a consistent serving sequence
Switch sides every 10 points
Must have at least 1 woman and 1 man on the court at all times
Games go to 21 – win by two, cap at 23
Full game counts at 2 points
Partial game counts as 1 point (scores must add up to 11 points)
Winning team marks down scores. Missing scores equals zero points!
Finish first in your pool, move up one pool
Finish last in your pool, move down one pool
Playoff ranking based on cumulative season results
If a disagreement occurs regarding a rule call a re-serve
Rain-outs will be made up on an alternative date

Grass Volleyball Rules Reverse 2’s

No touching the net at any point
Block does not count as a first contact
No open hand tipping
No setting a free ball
No setting the serve
No setting over
Men must hit from behind the attack line
Men can only block men
Men must attack from below the height of the nets when inside the 3-meter line; ball must cross opponent’s 3-meter line
Women can attack from anywhere on the court
Men can attack over-bump (1st or 2nd hit only)
Games go to 21 – win by two, cap at 23
Full game counts at 2 points
Partial game counts as 1 point (scores must add up to 11 points)
Winning team marks down scores. Missing scores equals zero points!
